Website World is providing a free website service for all students for the purpose of their academic studies. Normally this would cost $25+gst per month, but this has been discounted to FREE. We hope to encourage students to use NZ based service providers, and not be hindered by cost.  

The free website can either have a free web address ending with ".business.net.nz" or students can pay for a vanity domain. 

Email forwarding services are provided with the vanity domain, but not with the free web address. 

It's easy to build an ecommerce business, such as retail (B2C) or trade (B2B), using our platform. During this setup of your eCommerce website, you will likely want to add payment options. It is free and easy to add a bank account number as a payment option for online banking as a method of payment.  

Credit card payment option such as Stripe or Paypal can be added to your website. Such payment options have no monthly fee, but they do have a percentage fee. Students will need to comply with the T&C of those providers, and younger students may need an adult to create the account for them, as they usually need to have a credit card loaded, and confirm your identify to avoid money laundering fraud. 

The expectation is students will build their own website using our platform, and will minimise their demands on support. We have lots of free tutorials and support videos.

Website Address (.business.net.nz): FREE 

There is no cost to students building a website as part of a formal study program, such as business studies, YES, other other similar programs where the primary purpose of the website is for your study purposes. 

We can provide a free web address ending with .business.net.nz, or you can purchase any domain name you like for $33.35 incl GST. 

Website World will place 1 advert for our website building platform on the bottom of each page.

Free Website Offer Exclusions

• This offer is for students only, and cannot be extended to friends/family. 
• Your business must be wholy owned by students.
• Your business cannot have any paid staff other than yourself, and other student team members.
• Student hosting plans, with purchased domains include free email forwarding, but will not include hosted mailboxes. 
• Other offers we run such as "free website migrations" or "free professional design" are not available for student websites. Such promotions are intended for paid hosting customers.
• Sudents can apply for free hosting for an academic related project.
• Any highly successful businesses, that exceeds the limits of the free student hosting plan, will need to change to a paid hosting plan. Plans start at $25+gst per month. 
• Maximum 3000 website visitors per month
• Maximum 30 ecommerce orders per month 
• Maximum $10,000 turnover per annum
• Other limits as per our Starter SSL plan.
• This offer is for using our "website builder" service, and cannot be used to host other CMS platforms.
